Candelaria Bomb Vessel
The Candelaria is a Mediterranean bomb vessel, the size of a brig but broader and with two masts: the main mast is positioned almost in the centre with a round rig and the small mizzen mast has a gaffsail. Between the main mast and the forecastle are the mortars. The Candelaria was designed and built to work as a floating battery when blockading ports or during sieges of sea forts.

Kit includes plank-on-frame construction which uses pre-cut wooden parts and double planking in flexible limewood and beautiful dark walnut. Smoothly finished boxwood blocks and deadeyes are ready to use. White metal figurehead, lifeboat, gunport frames, quarter gallery sides, bell tower, upper stern decorations, chimney, buckets, anchors, main topmast crosstree are finely cast. Brass hinges and shafts, 12 gun carriages cannon eyebolts, belaying pins, quarter deck pillars and quarter gallery windows are all in proper scale. Stern ornamentation is photo-etched brass, and 12 bronzed metal cannon serve as armament. Pre-sewn sails, four diameters of rigging line, silk-screened flag wooden display base and pedestals.!
